So Mismatched

Stripes, Leopard Print, Floral, Yellow Belt
Do I love mismatching things or am I just unable to match things?
Or do I leave for work in such a hurry every morning (due to taking care of baby Marcus), I didn't have time to even think of proper outfits?
Hmm, maybe a bit of all.

What would I change from the above outfit?
Hmm, maybe the shoes and the socks.
I wish the socks had some pattern on them, and the shoes aren't so...neutral.
Heheheh.
I am weird.

Sorry for the crappy pictures. These are just iPhone4 pictures taken during a workday lunch time.
Stripes, Leopard Print, Floral, Yellow Belt
See all of the patterns?
Flowers, stripes, leopard, navy, cream, gray, black, dark green...and many more! Wth!

Grey Tiered Dress

Today's Tiered Dress
I've been keeping this dress in my wardrobe for quite a while thinking I can't fit into it with my bump...I tried it on last weekend and I could! Yay! I'm so wearing it to work today...

The tiered front conceals my bump a little, which isn't good for scoring seats on the train...but since it makes me feel a little prettier, I love it!
Today's Tiered Dress
Pretty pleats and lace...and tiny little pink polka dots on gray...love~

Since the dress is already pretty "busy", I didn't bother accessorising :D

leggings = H&M maternity legging HK$99

Cute Boys Jackets

Don't we all love a doll character with whom we can play dress up/dress down?
I never played much with dolls when I was a kid...which is probably why now I love treating people sous chef as a doll.

There was a period of time when sous chef would refuse to purchase or even look at anything related to fashion (classic) and would wear nothing but an old tee and a pair of raggedy old (albeit expensive) shorts for a month straight.

I am so glad those days are over.

These days, he'd cooperate and even enjoy being dressed up/down, accessorized, hair being molded into ridiculous shapes, or being made up, eyeliners and all. The only thing I had to say was "you'd better wear/do it before everyone else does". Lalala~

It was a mid week, and we were getting a birthday gift for a friend, and I spotted these cute jackets. I couldn't help but have sous chef tried them on, and it all went downwards from there.
These jackets were too cute not to be purchased.
Paired them with bright colors, simple black pants, cute little bow ties or slim polka dotted neckties...

How cute is the cutting and...those buttons!

OK, that pose was uncalled for.

Mustard Green

Trying a different combo for my blue green balloon dress. I've been wanting to try this yellow mustard tights for a while...and finally, there I was.

Belted the dress with something shiny, gold and striking, to prevent me from looking like a real balloon.

...and I get to wear my new pair of beauties.
Hi, love....

Plaid and Floral Dress

Love this minidress/long top the moment I saw it.
I love the ruffles on the hem, the puffy sleeves (yeah! puffy sleeves are so my thing!), the sweet blue flowers on the pattern, the sheer and floaty fabric, and the flap of black and white plaid on the chest.

It just gives the otherwise plain floral dress a little something extra, eh? Paired the dress with greys, which I am so fond of these days...

...and this faux snakeskin bag. I love fake animals.

Work rocks

You know my recent obsession with anything metal studded.
However, I can't stud my whole self with metals for work...so I kept it pretty minimum, just on the shoes, and paired the shoes with delicate chiffon, lace and ruffle bottomed dress.

Sweet Floral

Gosh, I have to post my pending outfits with long hair...cos I don't look like this anymore!

I particularly love this combo...love the shape of the skirt, the comfort and simplicity of my cheap white tee with puffy 3/4 sleeves...

The statement necklace...in gold and seashell.

Red White Grey

One of my favorite thrift finds.
A cute and comfy vintage dress that fits me.
Although the hem length kinda makes my bottom looks 10000000000000x larger, I gotta wear it once before I have it altered ^_^
How short should I go?

Love the little details on the shoulder (there are pleats on both sides of the neck), the pocket on the chest and the two large pockets on the bottom.

Fall Floral Vintage

Ahhh...hello, 26C weather...welcome back!
It makes me wanna wear pretty dresses in fall colors.

My sister found this dress while we were digging for great finds in my favorite thrift shop.
I had my doubts on the color, maroon normally ages me by 20 years instantly.

But seeing the pretty print, gorgeous lace details, the puffy sleeves and how the shoulder width fits me perfectly....forget it. I just had to have it!

Another Balloon Minidress

If I liked something, I'll be damned if I didn't buy all the available colors. Hehe.

Remember this balloon minidress?

Since it is also available in peachy orange color, I surely bought it too! :p

Which color you like better?

Touches of Blue

This blue seems to be my favorite hue of the year.
It's great paired with any color, this time it's slapped on an easy black and white ensemble.
A little mustard just saved the combo from looking too matchy matchy.

Office Sweet Rocker

A flickr friend of mine asked if I wore my previous sweet rocker outfit to work, as it looks too casual for office. That made me think of a way to wear some metal studs to work...turned out, it wasn't so hard. Simply go easy on the metal studs, paired them with officey items such as cardi and skirts. I didn't wear my hair this way too, I let it all down, I did this out of frustration as typhoon 8 strong wind kept blowing my hair to my face ^_^

Say hello to my shoe cabinet's new family member....

Balloon Minidress

The balloon-like bottom accomodates by giant butt well ^_^

A belt is really a must. Without one? I'd look like a balloon indeed.

Wore this to work today...smart casual Friday ^_^

Faux Snake Skin Tights

This season, we're blessed with tights abundance.
Colors, patterns, textures, sparkles...you name it, they got it.
My eyes were drawn to these pair of faux snake skin tights.
I just had to have it (well, it looks like i "had to have" too many things nowadays).

Look at the subtle texture and sheen....isn't it gorgeous?
Who cares if it's a bit too hot for shiny tights.
I just couldn't wait for the cooler weather to wear these.
Looks great with my dark nail polish ^_^

I paired the fierce tights with something girly...flowy dress and a dainty little bow buckled belt.

Floral Dress, Boyish Belt

Sorry for wearing this dress again, but it's just the comfiest dress to wear in this heat...even a tiny little cardigan feels too hot! T_T

I tried to make it look a bit different, belted, unbelted, paired with heels, with flats, with creamy colors, with bold colors...

I like pairing super feminine things with boyish bits. This belt is one of my favorite boyish accessories....it looks great with dresses and it tones down the sugar dosage of overly sweet pieces. Dark nail polish and gladiator sandals for extra fierceness.

Easy Lazy Combo - Dress + Cardi

When in doubt? Put on a dress, slap a cardi, and I'll be all set. It's my go to combo.

I especially love this dress for its pretty details, and I could slap on different colors of cardi to make it look a little different every time ^_^
This time I am going for...guess what...my currect favorite, grey.

These days I don't bother being too matchy matchy anymore. My dress and cardi contain no cream, but I still wore this creamy flats. I love the black lace on it.

Cardi = Argyle St Market, Prince Edward, HK$39

Black and Orange - Tights or No?

I felt like rocking this new minidress this morning...although I don't normally wear black in summer, I can't possibly wait until autumn/winter.

Added splashes of oranges to lighten up the blackness...and just before I went out the door, I felt something weird.

Yep, the mini dress is a little too mini to wear for work. A tiny little bend and I would've flashed my tushy to the whole workforce. So I slapped on a pair of dark grey tights. Tights don't look great on me, but they make quite an easy and chic solution to prevent (over)exposed butt.
