Working Lace

Add sheer black lace top to spice up any shirt. I love mine with slightly puffy sleeves to balance my upper body to my giant lower body ^_^. Too bad this photograph doesn't show the pattern of the thrifted shirt, it's pale robin egg's blue dotted with palest, creamiest beige brown, echoed in the color of my pumps. I heart polka dots.

I also love mixing patterns and textures when wearing mostly blacks. In this case, lace top, flowy chiffon tiered skirt and patterned tights, with plain thin jacket and faux leather bag.

Slap on a sparkly old gold cheap necklace and a black rose ring, for luck ^_^

Finally, it's cold enough to wear a jacket

Finally, autumn is here...the temperature dropped to below 20C and it's cool enough for us to wear our jackets (purchased during summer sale ^_^)

I've been wanting to wear this gingham checkered jacket with a cool emblem the whole freaking summer! As always, I paired pattern with another pattern, and tie them together with colors.

Dusted my old red ferragamo bag and brought her out. She's been staying in the closet for the longest time! Don't you love her embossed monogram?

Thrifted Goodies from Sham Shui Po

I love nothing more than strolling around old districts of Hong Kong...scoring great pictures and more importantly...feeding my shopaholic soul with thrifted goods!

The vendor must have sniffed my oozing enthusiasm, she refused to give me even a single cent of discount. Damn! I should act cool, pretend to leave, etc...next time, but it's gonna be hard.

An old playboy magazine. Ohhhh...I love the covers! Not too much skin, with just enough vintageness. I wish I could get some posters....

That reminds me....I am in Hong Kong, so I gotta get something local too.

My Halloween Non Costume

Are you a costume party person or a party pooper?
I shameless me won't hesitate to dress up in costumes. I am a sucker for costumes and parties.

So, what did I finally wear for Halloween?
Did I go as a slutty chef?
Slutty hello kitty?
Slutty char siew bao?
Slutty devil? witch?
or simply a slut?
Ehm, none of the above.

The procrastination resulted in....wearing whatever I had in the shade of black and grey...borrowed some of sous chef's rocker earrings and accessories...and quickly, desperately slapped on a devil red ox horns headband (from last year) on the last minute, for the sake of wearing something remotely Halloween. I was the epitome of a halloween cliche.

How about make up?
Some cool, realistic looking scars?
Blood or black tears?
Nah....

Just black and sparkly liners plus red lips.
...and I was already late to meet my friend for a Halloween photo taking spree.

Should you be afraid of the crowd and steer clear of LKF?

Nope. The crowd wasn't that bad, the police managed the crowd very well, close to the point where it was almost no fun ^_^

Next year, I planned to be taken in photographs, not taking. I shall search for the perfect costume earlier (yeah, yeah. same promise every year).

Casual Friday

Yay to casual Friday!
Everyone's ecstatic to wear jeans, but I am not a huge fan of pants. I look crappy in pants. I loveee my skirts, despite my short and stubby legs.


Paired this loud colored, ruffled, tiered, bias cut top (which is normally too hot for summer), and paired it with all blacks.

I love my new black denim skirt from Zara, I hate how my fringe looks when it's blown by autumn breeze. Yuck.

Vintage Mellow Yellow and Grey Leopard

I love how mellow this yellow is...and this thrifted number fits me perfectly, shoulder pads and all... :)
It could make one look really "auntie", so I had to pair it with young and sweet things.
